Why does a sticking patio door come back as a quote for a new patio door? We watched Florida homeowners get told their slider, their windows, their entire rear elevation needed replacing — when the actual fault was a pair of salt-corroded rollers, a failed balance, or a sealed unit that had given up on the sunniest wall of the house.
Replacement is a far bigger sale. It is also a far bigger disruption, a far bigger bill, and very often completely unnecessary. So Fixora was built to do the other job: the smaller one, the one that takes diagnosis rather than a sales script.
That is still the whole business. We repair. We recommend replacing something only when it genuinely cannot be saved, and when we do, we show you exactly why.

We recommend replacement only when a repair genuinely will not hold — and then we show you the reason, not just the price.
Diagnose honestly
Sometimes nothing is broken. Winter condensation on the room side of your glass is indoor humidity, not a failed unit, and we will say so rather than sell you glass.
Specify for the location
Corrosion-resistant hardware as standard, because almost nowhere in Florida is beyond the reach of salt air, and load-rated parts on impact doors that weigh far more than they look.
Fix the cause
New rollers on a ruined rail, or a new lock on a dropped door, buys you a season. We deal with what actually caused the failure.
The people who turn up at your door
This is a specialist trade and we staff it that way. Our technicians work the same systems every day — aluminium and vinyl sliders, multi-panel and pocket patio doors, impact-rated assemblies, jalousie operators, and hardware from manufacturers that closed decades ago.
They arrive in a stocked van carrying the common roller, track, hardware and screen components, so the job usually finishes on the first visit. Drop cloths go down, and the old parts and broken glass leave with them.
They will also talk you through what they found. If you want to understand why the hardware on the ocean side of the house failed first, or why only the west elevation has fogged, ask — that conversation is part of the job.
